Xenobiology: Confrontations
I carried on some distance, watching juvenile twig chickens hunting for worms and bugs with their parents standing guard. The parents appraised me nervously, twisting their upper apendages one at a time to keep at least one of their eyes on me. The young wandered, and occasionally fell over.
